Located in our company headquarters in Lakewood, CO, the Business Analyst - Operations supports operations in leveraging data to enhance service delivery to clients.  This exciting career opportunity reports to our V.P. of Operational Excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with department leaders and operation team members to gather requirements, define goals and develop a strategy for the roll out of data reporting solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain stewardship reports for operations and clients.
• Create, maintain, and enhance operational dashboards to provide an on-demand source of operational KPIs.
• Leverage data to create a reporting structure that supports a manage by exception management style and philosophy.
• Assist in developing and maintaining protocols for the handling, processing, and cleansing of data.
• Assist in the design of reporting environments, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Assist in the creation and ongoing management of user security groups in accordance with corporate policy.
• Assist in creating an operation-wide best-practice for data usage, analysis, and visualization.
• Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex data sets.
• Monitor proposed alteration of data sources and production to evaluate the impact on reporting suite.
• Deliver training service to end users on new report and dashboard usage practices.
• Provide quality assurance expertise for internal reporting systems for efficiency and inaccuracies.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics.
• Three years’ experience in a business/data analyst role desired.
• Proven analytical skills including data mining, analysis, and data visualization.
• Proven success in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to business partners in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office365, Dynamics 365, Sharepoint, PowerBI
• Proficient in Data Analysis Expression (DAX) language and SQL.
• Practical experience in financial modeling and operational performance analysis is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is conducted primarily in an indoor office environment with protection from weather conditions and will exposure to noise typical of an office or administrative setting.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Work requires visual acuity to read and prepare data and figures, transcribe words and numbers, view information on a computer terminal, read, operate office machines, and determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work.
